I believe God is still in control. Through these types of situation is when we must TRUST GOD.

I believe that it’s through these humbling times that we must not only uphold our faith, but shine more brightly. This is the time when unbelievers turn to us for signs of gloom, doom and despair. We must see this as a blessing and an opportunity to flex God’s muscle..LOL

Pastor, truly it is an honor to be able to communicate with you via a blog-no less. Who’d have thought (only God knows all).

Yes, I still believe. I believe spiritual prosperity is in our future in a Great way! Yes!

I truly believe that God is doing a great work in America. I believe He’s shaking up everything and everyone so that what cannot be shaken will remain. He is working a Mighty work through, and using President-Elect Obama, the likes of which no one could ever know, for who knows the Mind of God… (unless He reveals it to them).

I believe this is why America is at the brink. Anyone who doesn’t know God is looking around, crying and asking, how are we ever going to get out of this, while the people of God, the people of faith are saying, “Watch God Work”! He has the Power to show everyone that He is God, and I believe that is exactly what He is about to do.

I’m sitting back, buckling up for the ride, looking forward to what He has in store for those that love Him. I can feel it. He put it in my spirit not too long ago–something wonderfully awesome is about to take place–I hold on to that feeling.

Yes He Can! Yes we can! Heal our Land, oh Lord our God in Jesus Name we Pray. Amen and Amen.

People have said on the news that this is one America’s worst times. I think of this as when a fire comes to burn a forest down. It is destructive and many things die away in the process, but if you look after the fire, new seeds begin to sprout that would have never germinated if not for that forest fire. As a college student I beleive that a fire in the form of economic hardship and inflation and natural disaster is destoying old ways of thinking and customs so that seeds in the form my generation can take over the country and give it new ideas and ways of thining ultimately igniting growth that the US has never had before. I believe in God first. I think that it is time for America to stand up and be the Christians that we claim to be. We talk about trusting in God; I think that God takes this opportunity as a way of showing us how to put our faith in him.
These economic problems were not caused by God; they were caused by men and their greed to control what wasn’t theirs in the first place.
As far as hurricanes, that has always been a force of nature; however, if we fail to heed the warnings and not be prepared, then we lose faith and get caught up in it. I think it is high time for us to humble ourselves and stop worshipping things and look to God from which all help comes. My prayer is that more people take this opportunity to turn their hearts to God and everything will be victorious!

Yes, Pastor I do believe a great wave of God’s prosperity is about to pour on his people. The reason I said this is because, I’m an example of how God said he will bless his people during the times of famine, etc. Just a few days ago I had a large medical debt in the thousands of dollars due to an injury. I knew in my heart that I couldnt pay it due of my finance situation..But because of my faith in God and believing in God’s tithes, He came through for me…He gave me favor with the hospital and they cancelled my debt…This is only one of many blessings I’ve received this year…I dont believe this is the time for the people of to God to get weary, but to praise and worship HIM…God said, even in the time of famine, troubles, etc. that he will bless his people…I’m a strong believer in HIM and always will be.. .Praise God!

Well in my studies thus far, I do beleive we are entering the stages yet described in Revelations. And we must be very careful of how we purchase and whom we are working for as well. We are slowly leading to as a nation to the “Mark of the Beast”
And Yes God surely has his hand in the situation for those who love him, and stand on his word.( I believe this).
Everyday is a struggle but with the everlasting Grace of Our Father, We shall overcome.

The world sits in God’s hand. Just as it rains on the just and unjust, we must stay focused on God’s Word to reap the harvest within the turmoil that surrounds.

It would be nice to say maintaining that focus is easy. But we are engaged in a fierce spiritual battle. I am so grateful that the Word is resident inside (and easily accessible when needed) to subdue the noise of the enemy. As Believers, we must stay close to God to make sure The Holy Spirit is visible so we can give hope to those who do not know Jesus or those who have had their faith weaken by what they see. The fight is on, but we are victorious.

We must hold fast to the faith that we profess for He Who promised is faithful. It’s important to keep that declaration coming from our mouth.

Thanks for the opportunity to “blog” with you. Sitting under your teaching has helped me grasp just how great and powerful God’s love is for us. God bless you, Pastor.

Pastor Ed, you right on time. Several weekend ago I was watching Dr. Creflo Dollar, he was ministering on activating your faith in hard times. It occurred to me how much you, Pastor Ed, and Dr. Dollar are running along a parallel path.

I believe that God is in the mix of these times and I am standing on His promises, that I and my family will get through better than a before. A wealth transfer is about to take place.

I agree with you Pastor Ed; when God is up to something (a God assignment) there will always be some enemy drama. God want’s to know, do we love him today?

We all have experienced some discomfort from huricane Ike and economy depression; some more than others. But God! Don’t walk around with a hung down head because God is the lifter of our head.

This is a God did it thing; from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same; his name is worthy to be Praised. Yes Pastor Ed, through this storm we are stepping on the promise with one foot and the other foot crushing the devils head.

Yes, God’s hand is some where in all of this.

I do believe that the greatest era of spiritual prosperity in America is in our future because God’s hand is in all of this. God is waiting on us to get in proper position to receive. My favorite book and chapter is Ephesians 1, where it talks about spiritual blessings. We must us realize that properity comes in many forms. Spritual wisdom is at the top. May God give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

I have to believe that God is in full control of the situation otherwise we are a people without hope! It’s very difficult to ignore the media (either in print or on TV) and maintain a level of faith. Sometimes we have to turn the media off and listen to Gospel music/ or to the Word of God to maintain our level of peace and assurance that He will take care of us. I totally believe that we are going to experience a reawakening of love and seeking God. We as believers need to remember that God is our Father and will take care of us. There is a scripture that I have relied upon for many years and it is this “ I have been young & now I am old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” Sometimes we need to dig up those old gospel classic songs and remind ourselves that God still cares and that He is still on the throne.

Well, Pastor Montgomery. Maybe Reverend Wright had something to say after all. This is truly an historical time in America. The bottom’s on top and the top’s on the bottom. God will see us through if we just keep the faith. I’ve been around almost 60 years and I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken and never have I had to beg for bread.

The global warming is indeed a fact. The ice is melting in the arctic. The hurricanes are coming one after another. Destruction is everywhere. But, through it all, God is still in control.

Houston was spared in the fact that I haven’t heard of anyone losing their life. My son lives in Houston and his place and vehicle received no damage. Thank God that he could work from my home and not lose any time off the job. God takes care of His chilldren. If we are obedient and have faith, everything will be all right. I’m a witness.

I know that Gods’ children are always in his hands and will be protected. Now is the time where we lean on the WORD of God to guide us in the right direction.

I stood on my porch as the hurricane was going on. I heard the big blast of winds sounding like many, mighty, machines. I saw trees being bent and limbs being snatched off of large trees as if Paul Bunyan was gathering toothpicks. As I saw all of this awesome power, I thouht “Your arms are too short to box with God”. Immediately after, I heard this is not God. This is just the earth and atmosphere and weather misbehaving. I heard that the problem is that the sons of Adam are not in position to call the earth into order. The sons of Adam are lacking power and therefore can’t act in their authority. Like Jesus, we should have been able to speak to storm and make it obey. But much like the disciples in the case of the demoniac we were powerless and could do nothing.
We will always lack the sufficient power if we don’t maximize our time with God. I mean meditating on Him, seeking after Him, yearning for Him. Him and not what he can give or do for us. To me true spiritual prosperity would be able to know without hesitation God’s voice. To know without doubt God’s mind. I want to know Him like Enoch. I want God to have a hard time leaving me on earth.
I love America and I believe in the American dream. But it is time for followers of Jesus to realize that God is not American and He is not a capitalist. According to the pundits I listen to, our whole ecconomic system is based on debt. We all are living on credit cards and i o u’s. I thought l read somewhere that God said owe no man. I believe this is the time for traveling light. Not getting all bogged down with stuff. I believe this is the time when like the disciples Jesus sent out we should not carry an extra purse or coat. This is the time to really hear what God is saying. Know what God is doing. Go where God is sending. And do what God is doing. It doesn’t matter what America or any other country does as long as you are secure in the Kingdom, obeying the KIng and leading others into HIs safe and loving arms. To me that is true spiritual prosperity.

Pastor Ed: Thank you for this opportunity. This morning I opened my bible to Psalm 23, and I thanked God for the word. Because, I’ve been going through some financial problems of my own.
Just before I opened up your email tonight I had some time with the Lord and opened the bible, guess where? Yep, to Psalm 23. Lord spoke to me and said not to fear. I prayed and thank God, that he is going to see me and all his saints through this. God is still on the throne and in control. Praise God!

These are definitely perilious time and we as a people have to be mindfull and prudient as to what and how we do things. God is still the author and finisher of all that we do. It is how we do it that pleases God. Be a good steward over that which God has given you have faith over the little things and watch God make you ruler over the big things.

I believe that the Bible is full-filling itself. These are the times Christ told the Disciples about. Christ said”
Luke 21: 7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8: And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

10: Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

19: In your patience possess ye your souls.”…The time is drawing near and this is the beginning of sorrows, the events that Christ foretold is taking place. Everything is processing for Christ return. He will return it will be gloom and doom, the day of the Lord is fast upon us. Isaiah and Joel says it, Isaiah 13: 6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty… Joel 1: 15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
Joel 2: 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

I believe that this is a set up by God. We must not forget that God promise not to leave us or never to forsake us. Go also promise that he would put no more on us than we are able to bear. This is not a time to faint or to let our faith fail; if we just stand still we will see the salvation of the Lord. This is what I believe.

I believe that if GOD was in control this country would not be in the mess that it is in now because GOD is not the AUTHOR OF CONFUSION. The earth has HE given to the sons of men. The people that were put in office by us ( those that vote and those that didn’t vote) made those bad decisions without first humbling themselves and consulting GOD. People of GOD do not have to worry or fear because the JUST SHALL BY FAITH. We are blessed regardless of what happens in this world’s system

The Dow Jones fell 777 points in one day..It is the end of the world?!!….the stock markets are doomed..?!!..No, the markets will not disappear as long as the earth remains!

May i suggest Pastor , that what is occuring at this point in time is nothing but the natural order ( the divine order) of life on the planet Earth… pertaining to financial markets!!

God has always been aware of anything before it happens. I believe that we as God’s people have failed him in our allegiance to him. The United States has not given him the respect, the acknowledgement that He deserves. We have been growing as a people; apart from God. The United States has acted as if there is not a God and as if this nation was not build by God. All of us know that we have strayed away from the precepts of God. Lawlessness and perversion has been in our midst for countless years. Its just know that it’s more open and it’s more acceptable here in the United States. Do you honestly believe that God would allow such vile conduct to continue. What we are seeing today is a self-inflicted blow to what we have put before God. Money has become for most -our Gods, Sex has become for most -our Gods, War has become for most- our God. These self inflicted pangs are a product of unrighteous living, greed, ignorance and denial that We must TURN. What does it take to turn-REPENTANCE- I don’t see it getting better for the world but I do see it getting better for the people of God. Many of us will suffer because of the actions or inactions of others. But we are protected and we do have an advocate and we will not beg for bread… So with that said- Let’s not only vote but lets change, reform, reinstitute, restore and remove.

I beleive that great miracles are going to happen.

Strange, Pastor Montgomery, you would ask this question. I was just searching the scriptures for how many times individuals and families was facing a famine, and how God substained them while it was happening. I started with Noah, who for more than a year lived in a floating boat with his family while the whole world was gone around them, God substained them, Abraham was in a famine in Egypt, God sustained him and made him more wealthy than before the famine! Naomi and Ruth, two widowed women caught in a famine between Bethlehem and Moab, God sustained them, He gave Ruth a job and a husband, and Naomi a grandchild to take care of. Yes, most definitely God can and will substain us, this is a trick of satan, anything to distract us from God’s work. God said He owns all the cattle on a thousand hills, all the gold and silver. I trust God to sustain my family as He did for Rahab and all her family. God bless and keep you and your family, Pastor Montgomery.

The first part of the year (February, to be exact), the Spirit of the Lord spoke to MY spirit: “Tell them, Emma, this is a Love and Faith Season, AND they go together like a horse and carriage”!
I’m reminded of Psalm 91, and may I submit to the people of God that this is a Psalm you want to HIDE in your hearts (for all times ).
Last night I had a Dream: There was a line as FAR as one could see, where people stood with grocery carts, waiting. First I picked up a box (a big box of Borax), then put it back. Next to it was a big box of Epsom Salt. I put it in my cart .**
CLEANSING and COVENANT**?
Somehow, I found myself standing in front a Cashier, emptying my cart onto her counter! I was the ONLY person in this line!! She seemed INCENSED,and was really about to tick me off, but then I remembered: a kind word turns away wrath. (:
EARLY this morning (Tuesday), Father God led me to Genesis 26!!!
Genesis 26
1 There was a famine in the land, as bad as the famine during the time of Abraham. And Isaac went down to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerar.
2-5 God appeared to him and said, “Don’t go down to Egypt; stay where I tell you. Stay here in this land and I’ll be with you and bless you. I’m giving you and your children all these lands, fulfilling the oath that I swore to your father Abraham. I’ll make your descendants as many as the stars in the sky and give them all these lands. All the nations of the Earth will get a blessing for themselves through your descendants. And why? Because Abraham obeyed my summons and kept my charge—my commands, my guidelines, my teachings.”

6 So Isaac stayed put in Gerar.

I pray for President G W Bush in his decision making, however President G W Bush should have never been president. Why are all these catastrophes happening while he is in office? Let me give this parable: if a friend gives me a Lamborghini and tells me it’s mine, but I find out soon after that he swindled it from a third party, then legally the court rules that I can keep it. Do I dare give that Lamborghini back anyway that my friends and I have been wanting for years? If I continue having accidents in the car, always blaming others, do I think it is because of my driving or how I attained the car?

1. Humble yourself by admitting your sins
2. Pray to God, asking for forgiveness
3. Seek God continually

The question about a great revival is puzzling to me. According to Messiah’s parable in Mathew 25, all ten virgins were expecting the bridegoom but after much waiting grew weary and All fell asleep and when the bridegroom came All ten heard the announcement and All ten got up but Only five made it in the wedding banquet. All ten were waiting but only 5 were ready. Many are waiting for Messiah’s return but there’s much work to do in getting people ready for His return. Bro Campbell’s 2Chronicle 7:14 reference is right on the nose and the sweet toping is verse 15 – NOW my eyes will be open and my ears ATTENTIVE to the prayers offered in this place.
