Thanks Pastor for the continued reminder. Sometimes things hit us one after another and we get tired. I just know that faith rest, hearing and doing the word of God will rejuvenate and revive us to endure the next day. Wow, thanks Pastor for the enlightment. The only way to test your character is by going through trials. I am going through some stuff right now and mostly about my family and it has been really tough and it has not been going the way I desire it to be. But I need to endure and believe that what God has promised, He will bring it to pass. I need to perservere to build my character to believe and receive the promise no matter what it cost. Thank you for the Word through your emails. God Bless and moving forward and going through.

Good parenting can not be achieved thru a short cut. This generation does lack a higher level of character because the parents have created a perfect bed for them. Endurance DOES builds character. By taking away the fight in all areas you take away the lesson & so then you have a shell of emptiness. Dr. your the best at challenging the family(church) to grown, seek & stretch. I say keep up the good work your words & style does pierce the hearts of this generation I see them coming back for more weekly in time his perfect work will take its course if the parents take attention to what they are putting out.

Thank you Pastor for these words of wisdom. Very happy to see this addressed and I agree… we want the perks without putting in the work. I am learning that the relevancy of what is produced through the trials and testing of our faith is paramount to successful living as a Christian and that successful living has more to do with spiritual growth and less to do with material gain. My life here is more about what I have to give (purpose) than what I have to gain and what I store up (in heaven) than what’s in store for me here. This can sound self sacrificing, which isn’t a bad thing, but I choose spiritual obedience over self sacrificing any day. “Things” can all be gone overnight, no matter how much you’ve gained. Spiritual obedience pays off eternally God is not my “genie in a bottle”.

Pastor Montgomery thanks for sharing. You are so right. Often times we teach a materialistic, trouble free, illustrious life experience relevant to prosperity and miss the point of it all. Jesus even had to endure a lot before he even got to the cross and had to seek God for strength and mercy and suffered until death. He endured the cross and came out victorious. So who are we to think otherwise. God said that we are more than conquerors, my grace is sufficient for you, and low I’ll be with you. He told us we would have to endure some things. We need to trust him, call on him for guidance, strength, etc, be obedient, and stand on his promises.

I believe that there is a lack of love for Jesus Christ. People have a concept of him but are not in relationship. Hence, when you love him, you will endure hardship knowing that he makes all things work together for our good. Remember Joseph responding to his brothers “you meant it for evil but God meant if for good”. He endured sibling rejection, a pit, false accusation, prison, and being forgotten by those he helped.

If Jesus never does anything else, He’s already done enough. Remember that that faith chapter in Hebrews speaks of those that waited for a promise that they never received.

I love the Lord not based upon what he can give me….but because of who He is…..my all and all. And the sufferings of this present world cannot be compared to what shall be revealed…….to us.

Yes, endurance is a key element missing today, its goes along with long suffering. I want to thank the lord for blessing us(husband and I) with the spirit to endure.
We are now in the eight year of Ministry and is now experiencing the fruits of our labor. We were sent from our main church to begin a work and I can say it is not always sunshine but Jesus is in the midst, and with him in the vessel we can smile at the storms of life

Some of the biggest mistakes that I made in the past was when I changed my mind. Endurance of time with any task prevails accomplishment.

You hit the hammer on the nail with that message. If we never allow God to test and build us then how can we stand when trial and tribulation comes our way. When walking through this trials even though it doesn’t feel good we are building character while walking through trails, while walking through trails we are preservering, and while preservering we are enduring and walking through that trial refined and pure as gold.The more we endure for Jesus sake the more we become his heirs. Also as we walk through trials and successfully pass we gain more of God’s anointing and power to break and cancel every demonic force that comes our way.

I believe that the missing element in so many spiritual lives today is faith. It appears that we all have hope, but not faith. We tend to use hope and faith interactively, and in some cases that works. Hope is a belief that something can be achieved, but faith is a CONFIDENT AND STRONG belief that something can be achieved. Hope gets you to the mountain and maybe even up and over the mountain, but faith moves the mountain. Thanks Pastor for your knowledge that you share and may God continue to bless you!

Thanks Pastor for the wonderful Message, I know God used you Pastor to speak to me, Pastor anytime I should be promoted, I go through things I do not understand but after reading your message, oooooooh my God it has humble me the more to want to go through what ever comes my way to enable produce good character in way walk of Christ Jesus.

Pastor I agree we dont appreciate the mean time inbetween time. We are losing our appreciation for hard work. We dont like to sweat or digg in and hold on for the long haul. We are given a PROMISE & get excited without understanding there is a PROCESS!!
God told Abraham 2LEAVE, Moses 2Go, Joshua 2cross, the widow 2gather, & the list goes on & on. Yet what we forget is the development time or the process they had to encounter before they reached God’s PROMISE.
There are a series of actions changes or functions we MUST go through to bring about the PROMISE!! As readers of the bible we breeze over the stuff inbetween what God said & when he delivered. We breeze over the process. We forget the PROMISE requires work on our part. It requires us to have the faith that the promise in which we received will come to pass even though we will encounter times where we dont see, hear or feel like it will ever happen.
We cant walk into our PROMISE the way we are now. We need MORE character, MORE integrity & MORE honor to handle God’s promise. We cant walk into God’s PROMISE for our lives without growing, enduring, developing, building, purging, learning, trusting, standing, faithing & waiting knowing that God is in complete control.
I believe God shows us what is ahead if we would allow him to complete his work in us. God gives us a glimpse into what he purposed us for & what he purposed us to do but his question is are we willing to do the groundwork & go through the process laying the foundation to get where he wants to take us without giving up and having a spiritual temper tantrum? Knowing that when we have done the will of God we will receive the promise.
There is a journey a process that we have to take to receive the Promise because he who has promised is FAITHFUL!! I believe the question is are we faithful enough to really trust that God knows what he is doing and endure despite hardships to the very end? I dont think we fully understand a GREAT PROMISE is never easy but is ALWAYS worth it!!

Yes, Endurance is one of those Spiritual Eternal Faith Seeds.. Faith Produces Work not Sleep, sadness, pity or shame.. in my past seminars I use to ask the people of GOD who attended, How much do you WANT from GOD…. NO one could answer the Question…This Endurance Factor is the missing Link in the Spiritual Chain “want” although in scripture it states that Thou shall not WANT.. one must first define Want so the scripture will be fulfilled. What do You WANT in Jesus Name..? Healing 30 years of hip hop damage where only 30% are graduating and 80% are unemployed.. Visa salvation Everybody is Hired Matthew 20:6-7 Tracking all of the cards increases tracks GOD’s Harvested SOULS unto Salvation.
