Gusher

When I look at the oil gushing from the floor of the Gulf of Mexico, I’m stilled stunned. I hurt as well as pray for the residents of the Gulf Coast.

How much oil is down there? Such abundance – causing such pressure – causing such a GUSHER.

The spiritual dimension, which I believe surrounds us, is filled with the abundance of God. Joy, peace, strength and unlimited resources are within our grasp. I believe there is great pressure pushing from the spiritual world upon the natural world. I believe the pressure is SO great that all it takes is our faith acting like a drill.

I believe if we break through with our faith, we will receive a GUSHER – a gusher of whatever you need right now.

Do you believe that the UNLIMITED NEVER-ENDING resources of God may be just one step of faith away? Are you beginning to expect a GUSHER?
It’s your move…
Dr. Ed

I am very glad to hear you speak on the oil spill and its symbolic message to us because i haven’t heard anything from other spiritual leaders besides the pity of its effect (not to disregard our showing compassion), but i believe there is something greater at work and you speak volumes to this sign. I was wondering if anybody was going to ever connect that what is happening in the earth is symbolic to what is happening with us because we are earth as well (made from the dust of the ground) and pull out the power of the message that God is speaking to us right now. Well done job, sun and sun before last!! Thank u 4 sharing your spiritual insight.

I also believe with you that this pressure is not just in the earth, but on the earth — people, but this pressure has not come to take a toll on us, but to bring us to a breaking point, but this point will cause a break through, a break out and a breaking forth into the things of God and no one will be able to stop it — yes, it will be a gusher!! I believe w/ u –thank God for your message of faith.

Very much loved the way you made a silver lining….God is GOOD!!! ALL THE TIME!

At this time we look for understanding.
The abundance of oil spreading throughout the world via the resource of water has caught the attention of the world. The oil has not only affected the fish in the water but also the animals on land. God, will only allow this to go on for a time period and when its complete there will be a message for all to heed. So, take account of your standing with the Lord and correct what you see/believe is wrong. Moses, speaking on behalf of God, said to the King of the land, let my people go. It took the King awhile to come around but he did. So, for those who hold that you have time on your side, remember to take account of your relationship with God. We all would like to have things in abundance but it does not always come when we WANT it. Having the belief and faith in Jesus will be rewarded in abundance. It’s my belief, that faith is having patience, endurance and a willingness to believe change will come and come in ways similar to the oil flow, never ending. Pastor, Dr. Ed Montgomery, thank you for your words of spiritual wisdom.

Wow! Thank you for always allowing God to use you to speak thru His word to us. In times like this, a reminder that God is still in control and He still wants us to trust Him enough to still give and in return we reap the benefits! Well done Pastor!

Thank you Jesus!

“I believe if we break through with our faith, we will receive a GUSHER – a gusher of whatever you need right now.” This is powerful and true statement. I have been receiving a GUSHER of support and Faith. The Lord is powerful. I have had my safety valve protecting me from – Not Sure. The Lord has continued to work around my obstacles and overfilled my needs.
I’m learning to relax and remove me (The obstacle) so I can receive the blessing and perform the lords work.
Pastor Ed Thank You for the eye opening view.

Thank Pastor for always allowing God to give you insight into what is going on in the spiritual relm.. that what I love about you and your teachings.. We can always apply them to everyday life and whats going on right now. I do believe that everything happens for a reason and we need to seek God for the answers. I am expecting a Gusher. God has opened my eyes to so many things and allowed me to see things differently or from a spiritual standpoint. Its time to wake up people! Everything that is happening is not just a coincidence ! Its time to totally put your trust in God and him only! Be Blessed

Thank You, for conformation of the oil spil! This hit home with me because I am from South Louisiana and this oil spill affects me just as it affects the lives of the fishermen. I have been sharing my thoughts with a sister from my cell group that I attend, she and I both are looking at this spill from a supernatural point. In our conversation the anointing oil was spoken of and how God is about to clean the earth and demonstrate his powers once again to the world. In the natural we see oil all over the gulf but in the spirit we see anointing oil that is being poured out for all believers by the hand of God to pray! I fell in the spirit that God is about to do something big that no one would have room enough to receive it. I want to speak into the atmosphere of the prophetic to get ready saints for the gusher of God to be released and demonstrated in your lives. Saints if you are not Holy Ghost filled ask God to give you his heavenly language and watch him move on your behalf. We need to be in position for when the GUSHER comes!!! You will know that it is God when it comes to pass.

My Spirit agrees with Dr. Ed Montgomery, that God is about to release a gusher of prosperity upon His children, especially those who have been obedient to His word and His leading. Heb 11:6, He seeks to find those whom He may show Himself strong in.” No good thing will He withold from them that walk upright behold Him.” Psalm 84:11

GUSHER, I’m still trying to visualize a GUSHER in the SPIRIT and I can’t even imagine a GUSHER from the all mighty GOD minds haven’t even begun to imagine the abundance from THE ALL MIGHTY LORD OF LORDS AND THE KING OF KINGS THE GREAT I AM THE I AM THAT I AM. THANK YOU PASTOR FOR YOU BEING THE MAN OF GOD THAT YOU ARE. THANK YOU FOR BEING THE SPIRITUAL FATHER THAT I KNOW THAT GOD CHOSE FOR ME.

I needed to read that, I am transitioning between jobs. I need income really bad right now. It has been 18 weeks an unemployment has said they will pay me, but they have not done so. I am keeping the faith, but this one is hard.

hallelujah!! i stand in agreement with everything that has been said by Pastor Dr Ed Montgomery , and God said when 2 or more come together touching and agreeing with God in the midst that it shall be done hallelujah i do believe in his promises praise our God!!!

Hello Pastor Montgomery. First, let me say that I REALLY appreciate your teaching and am really BLESSED to be under your ministry. It is extremely evident that God has annointed and appointed you. However, I have a concern that I must voice. Recently you preached about a lack of love, you preached about smiling and dancing amidst adversity and about tightening your weave where you R’edOTFL as a demonstration of who we should react when the enemy tries to distract us, but you didn’t display any of that this past Sunday when your Minister of Music mistakenly started playing before you were ready for him to. I don’t know if you two have a cue or something or if he just comes in when the timing seems right, but I know I thought you were wrapping up. Then you proceeded to read him the riot act. It wasn’t his playing that was a distraction or a hinderance to the message you were trying to convey, but rather the scene you caused as a result. I’ve been in corporate america for over 20 years now and most of that time in management and I’ve seen people walked out of the door without question for treating their employees that way. So, for a man who so eloquently teaches us about how God wants us to do things daily to miss the mark like that is not good. I’ve seen that in you quite a few times before and it’s been a while. I really thought that was a thing of the past. I just want to bring it to your attention so that you can be cognizant of it in the future. I’m sure the love you teach about also extends to your employees. Just like you made this mistake and the rest of us make them often as well, your staff will also make them.

Dear Changeagent,

I wasn’t there so I’m not aware of the situation you’re referring to and therefore cannot comment on that. However, I WILL say that while this forum is here for us to share our thoughts and feelings with Dr. Montgomery, I feel we have to be very careful with how we address him. We have to be careful with how we address any person in that position.

I’m concerned about you feeling that it’s YOUR place to correct him. The comparison to you working in Corporate America and people having been walked out of the door isn’t really relevant.

True, we ALL make mistakes and handle things in our own way. But in the future, try lifting such concerns in prayer. If your being distracted was the “issue”, then by all means express that. But there’s a fine line between expression and being out of order.

As an outsider looking in, I would like to weigh in on “changeagent’s” comment, and “blessedtobeablessing’s” response.

I have learned after years in ministry the importance of submission to leadership. If you remain humble (submitted) before God, He will in His time exalt you!!!

I have through the years endured what people would consider verbal and mental abuse, publicly and privately. But I never disrespected my leaders or spoke harshly to them or about them. I am sure that there have been a few times where a reprimand was in order, and that my leaders could have handled those circumstances better. But God helped me understand that it is never my place to “correct” those who have authority over me spiritually, but it is my place to pray for them, and TRUST God to correct when necessary. God will deal with those who mistreat His children (Mark 9:42).

I obviously did not witness the interaction that caused “changeagent” to comment. But how you address it is very important. 1 Timothy 5:1 says, “Do not rebuke an elder, but exhort him as a father.” You can respectfully address valid issues, and they are better heard.

P.S. Dr. Montgomery, I saw the excerpt from “GUSHER.” I receive that word, and will be sowing into your ministry from my gusher!!!

I totally understand what happened during the incident referred to by changeagent. I didn’t feel that the riot act was read to the music minister. I did feel that Pastor Ed was at his main point in his message and lost his train of thought due to a distraction. Have you ever been in that position – standing in front of an audience full of people who are depending on you to share a Word with them and then you all of a suden just go blank in mid-sentence? If you have ever experienced that before then you would totally understand, too. The people who are chosen to work closely with God’s vessels must prepare before every service to move with the Holy Spirit while ministry is taking place. It is a great responsibility. I believe Pastor Ed’s frustration was not about him being interrupted or distracted, but I believe it was about his concern for the people to whom he was ministering – that they would receive all that was meant for them from the Word being poured out through him. Those that really know our pastor understand that ministry is ALWAYS his first concern and his top priority.

We love you, Pastor Ed. Thank you for all that you do concerning those of us who have been assigned to your care.

Thank you Paster Montgomery for all thing great thing that you help us to memory that GOD has always promised us.You just help to put them right into order with God values,Praise the lord for all his goodness. Let the GUSHER start to roll in. THANKS!

In response to changeagent and a few others that commented…I was there that sunday and I also felt that a rebuke was coming from Pastor for the interruption and I felt bad for the Minister of Music I also thought that Pastor was finished because I packed up my bible and stuff too it didn’t seem as if he was at the main point or in the middle but at the end of the message so I do see that point in itself too… I feel that changeagent thought out the words that were used in the comment. I feel the love for Dr. Ed through the other comments and it is not easy to here someone say something that is in the area of correction or constructive criticism when it comes to your Pastor that’s something that I can say I NEVER want to here especially from outsiders that don’t even pay tithes at their own church and try to talk about mine ….I know what the Word says about rebuking an Elder BUT this blog is here to get real feeling responses from the people…I don’t think that Dr. Ed will take it personally he wants to know what you think or this blog would not be here…so with saying that yes be careful and tactful but be truthful with how you feel…who do you go to with a problem on your job when its your boss you have the problem with? And what happens when you bypass that boss on some occasions and go straight to HR in my experiece I have had them to say that I would have rather you talked to me first then to go over my head..and coming from Ministry as well I have experienced abuse from leadership because of that same scripture…who’s to say that Changeagent is or is not qualified but I do know this its her or his feelings from what they experienced at the service…ALC is losing memebers daily for things just like that and I think that in itself is a serious issue…I support the Ministry with My tithes and offering and if I can’t say that something hurt me to the one that is feeding me even if its them I won’t grow…Now don’t disrespect My Pastor but allow people to say hay that hurt me or that concerns me…

In response to “itstarts@home’s” comment – Please do not make assumptions concerning whether or not I tithe at my church. I support my church with my tithe, offering, time and talent. I also know a good word when I hear it, and have learned to sow in “good soil.” That’s why I committed to sowing as I receive my gusher.
In response to your comment about “outsiders,” this is a public blog. There are people who attend your via internet, or who simply come to services you don’t attend, that you may never see. Also, those who you may consider as outsiders just may support this ministry as much or more than you.
I stand behind my statement about respectfully addressing issues. If this blog were about you, I’m sure you would be concerned about how you were addressed. You can express real feelings without being disrespectful. God expects us to respect our leaders…and God expects our leaders to respect us. We, as well as they, will answer to GOD if we do otherwise.

I had resolved that I wouldn’t respond to the comments, but I think it’s only right that I put things in context for those who are concerned. Firstly, my intent was NOT to disrespect my Pastor. He’s been my pastor now for 8 years. Regardless of what happens, I’m not going anywhere. Secondly, I support his vision financially and with my time. There is NO DOUBT that he is an annointed man of GOD, but he is a man. He also teaches us to think for ourselves and he pours a lot of energy into building us up and trying to help us change our mindset so that growth happens. So when that incident happened the rebuke of our minister of music just kind of dragged on and I felt his point was made when he made his initial comment. After that point it became a public coaching session. I’ve been under Pastor’s teaching long enough to know he is WAAAAYYY to sharp for a small incident like music playing to cause him to lose his train of thought. For instance, this past Wednesday at Life Church, his Think Pad stopped working, he had two people on stage with him trying to get it working. He was teaching and guiding them through programs and he didn’t miss a beat. That’s the mind of the Pastor who teaches us. So I know that he was trying to prove a point that day. So if he encourages us to speak candidly (which is what I did) and that is what this platform is for, what is the problem? Should we not desire for our Pastor to also grow as a man? I have several friends who I can count on to hold me accountable and tell me the truth about myself. I know they love me and have my back, because they will not allow me to go out and represent myself and my loved ones in a way that’s not becoming of the potential they see in me. Those are REAL friends, because they tell me the good and the bad and not just what I want to hear. How will that help me. So that what this is. I care enough to say “wow Pastor, you are the bomb, but that was a little over board”. That’s me! I care enough about our Pastor and the ministry to give my opinion and take the comments you all have.

I think it’s fair to say that we ALL care about our Pastor and our church. I don’t think that was ever the issue. Nor did I personally see anything wrong with you expressing your feelings about that particular incident. My main concern was and always will be, HOW we address our leaders, at ALC Church or anywhere else.

Dear Change Agent,

Matthew 18:15 (NASB)
If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.

God is love. Be blessed.

lET ME BEGAN WITH THE SERMON ON SUNDAY;iT WAS VERY INTERESTING KNOWING THAT BEING CONNECTED REALLY COUNTS, IN THE SPRITUAL WORLD OF BELIVERS, ALL THINGS OR POSSIBLE.ASK and it shall be given unto you.—-AND AS FOR AS THE OIL SPILL, I CONSIDERATE IT AS A WARNING AND A LEARNING EXPERENCE.TO BE DELT WITH EXTREME PRECAUTION AND NOT TAKEN FOR GRANTED.

LOVE

K.Jackson

Since this is the Gusher forum, I want to report that i received a letter from Texas unemployment that i had been overpaid $113, but I didn’t have to pay it back. So I will be using this as seed for the future. I’m so grateful for the message and the faithfulness of God!
