gusher!! My Papa God truly has met my needs. I am a thither and can see the overflow. Our wants have been met too. My thoughts are towards our Heavenly Father--and my question to those who have received gushers--"what can we do for God?" Can we give HIM a hug of thanks, Can we not be in need of something to give HIM a rest (so to speak)? Praise and worship don't seem to be enough! I know we can't be HIM in giving. But this question burned in my heart--what can we do for GOD today?
Thanks for listening.

Since this is the Gusher forum, I want to report that i received a letter from Texas unemployment that i had been overpaid $113, but I didn't have to pay it back. So I will be using this as seed for the future. I'm so grateful for the message and the faithfulness of God!

Dear Change Agent,

Matthew 18:15 (NASB)
If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.

God is love. Be blessed.

I think it's fair to say that we ALL care about our Pastor and our church. I don't think that was ever the issue. Nor did I personally see anything wrong with you expressing your feelings about that particular incident. My main concern was and always will be, HOW we address our leaders, at ALC Church or anywhere else.

I had resolved that I wouldn't respond to the comments, but I think it's only right that I put things in context for those who are concerned. Firstly, my intent was NOT to disrespect my Pastor. He's been my pastor now for 8 years. Regardless of what happens, I'm not going anywhere. Secondly, I support his vision financially and with my time. There is NO DOUBT that he is an annointed man of GOD, but he is a man. He also teaches us to think for ourselves and he pours a lot of energy into building us up and trying to help us change our mindset so that growth happens. So when that incident happened the rebuke of our minister of music just kind of dragged on and I felt his point was made when he made his initial comment. After that point it became a public coaching session. I've been under Pastor's teaching long enough to know he is WAAAAYYY to sharp for a small incident like music playing to cause him to lose his train of thought. For instance, this past Wednesday at Life Church, his Think Pad stopped working, he had two people on stage with him trying to get it working. He was teaching and guiding them through programs and he didn't miss a beat. That's the mind of the Pastor who teaches us. So I know that he was trying to prove a point that day. So if he encourages us to speak candidly (which is what I did) and that is what this platform is for, what is the problem? Should we not desire for our Pastor to also grow as a man? I have several friends who I can count on to hold me accountable and tell me the truth about myself. I know they love me and have my back, because they will not allow me to go out and represent myself and my loved ones in a way that's not becoming of the potential they see in me. Those are REAL friends, because they tell me the good and the bad and not just what I want to hear. How will that help me. So that what this is. I care enough to say "wow Pastor, you are the bomb, but that was a little over board". That's me! I care enough about our Pastor and the ministry to give my opinion and take the comments you all have.

In response to "itstarts@home's" comment - Please do not make assumptions concerning whether or not I tithe at my church. I support my church with my tithe, offering, time and talent. I also know a good word when I hear it, and have learned to sow in "good soil." That's why I committed to sowing as I receive my gusher.
In response to your comment about "outsiders," this is a public blog. There are people who attend your via internet, or who simply come to services you don't attend, that you may never see. Also, those who you may consider as outsiders just may support this ministry as much or more than you.
I stand behind my statement about respectfully addressing issues. If this blog were about you, I'm sure you would be concerned about how you were addressed. You can express real feelings without being disrespectful. God expects us to respect our leaders...and God expects our leaders to respect us. We, as well as they, will answer to GOD if we do otherwise.

In response to changeagent and a few others that commented...I was there that sunday and I also felt that a rebuke was coming from Pastor for the interruption and I felt bad for the Minister of Music I also thought that Pastor was finished because I packed up my bible and stuff too it didn't seem as if he was at the main point or in the middle but at the end of the message so I do see that point in itself too... I feel that changeagent thought out the words that were used in the comment. I feel the love for Dr. Ed through the other comments and it is not easy to here someone say something that is in the area of correction or constructive criticism when it comes to your Pastor that's something that I can say I NEVER want to here especially from outsiders that don't even pay tithes at their own church and try to talk about mine ....I know what the Word says about rebuking an Elder BUT this blog is here to get real feeling responses from the people...I don't think that Dr. Ed will take it personally he wants to know what you think or this blog would not be here...so with saying that yes be careful and tactful but be truthful with how you feel...who do you go to with a problem on your job when its your boss you have the problem with? And what happens when you bypass that boss on some occasions and go straight to HR in my experiece I have had them to say that I would have rather you talked to me first then to go over my head..and coming from Ministry as well I have experienced abuse from leadership because of that same scripture...who's to say that Changeagent is or is not qualified but I do know this its her or his feelings from what they experienced at the service...ALC is losing memebers daily for things just like that and I think that in itself is a serious issue...I support the Ministry with My tithes and offering and if I can't say that something hurt me to the one that is feeding me even if its them I won't grow...Now don't disrespect My Pastor but allow people to say hay that hurt me or that concerns me...
