Prayer Network-Time To Go To Work!

I’m sure you heard about the plane that crash-landed. The pilot brought the plane down into the water – no lives were lost. It’s being called a miracle. During interviews of the passengers, some are saying they sent TEXT messages. Some of these messages were in the form of a PRAYER.

I believe if a group of people pray, and pray at the same time – A powerful release of spiritual energy takes place. And I believe that collective spiritual energy can help to protect, heal and promote a sense of confidence and well being. I believe if enough of us pray together, we can experience great change in our country. Prayer is like a huge warm blanket being pulled over America. It’s like tucking America into bed at night – telling her to have sweet dreams. And in return – thousands are praying for YOU.

Recently, our prayer network has received a tremendous amount of attention (see link below). This is wonderful – but it’s time to go to work.

We will begin praying for America and our new government leaders. Pick a time (moment):

Tuesday – 9am, 10am and 11am. There are a group of you who will be praying the moment President Obama puts his hand on the bible to take the oath of office. Some will keep an attitude of prayer during the Inaugural Address.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We want to sign up thousands across the country on America’s Mobile Prayer Network

1.      Contact at least 5 friends – forward them a text.

2.      Text the word PRAY to 74029 if you haven’t signed up.

Below is an example of a simple prayer:

God – Protect America – Protect President Obama and his family – Protect Vice-President Biden, his family and all government leaders.

QUESTION: Will you join me in this prayer network and pray on Tuesday?

Talk To Me. I need you to blog me back. I want to have your prayers on record in this weeks blog.

Hi Pastor Ed… I received your text this afternoon. I have asked all my friends and family to join our prayer network. Everyone I have told about it is excited about it. I am so glad that I joined myself. I will be texting in a prayer for our new President on tomorrow as well. I know GOD will honor our prayer requests, as he will get the glory.

God bless you and your family

This is sort of off the subject of the plane crash, but the sermon on Sunday (Jan 18th) was deep, it was “off the chain” !! (even though i wish the musician was with it more sometime, but that’s neither here nor there). That message (just one step) really calls for some deep soul-searching. It’s a time where we need to make a decision to let go of all the painful memories and experiences that we have endured over the years, injustices (e.g. police, legal system, $$), and even unpleasant stories told to us by our parents. Quite frankly, I’m tired of carrying the grief of the past. I have often prayed in my heart over the years for God not to forget our generation, not to pass over us, or pass us by even though society wants to write us off, x us out of our time….but the presidency means that God has not forgotten about us – generation x and y. O, I could feel the pain as the women in church was beginning to receive her healing (even though the ushers should have left her alone because it was her moment – a sacred moment). I think alot of us though we sat silent, could sense our own cleansing of the soul vibrating within. O Lord, My God we have come so far, and yet we have so far to go in all dimensions, but we live one day at a time and thanks be unto God who gives us the victory…..it is GOD who gives us the victory!! One last note, please continue to be free in yourself and not allow $$ or people to dictate what you will say/express or not. Our generation needs to hear you and all of what God has made you; we need the power of God working in you to help break us free so we too can be all God has called us to be. The olde, staunch, religious people who can’t see God doing a new thing are going to be left behind, but there is a group — a generation who is ready to go!! And we need so desperately for the prior generation to release themselves to us, so that we can run this race too!!, and receive our reward — the crown of life.

peace out,…

Indeed the power of prayer is so real! I think it is awesome how we can all pray for each other and are able to text as well. God is doing something here as always. I thank Him for what he has already done, is doing and going to do. I will get as many people as possible to pray at these times. In the past I have learned to never come with the attitude that “oh someone else is probably already praying for that person or situation” We should all be active in praying for the nation and its leaders. I am so excited how the Lord is using us and let’s us know its not about us, but glorifying Him in everything we do. Thank you Pastor for having this blog on here. It is truly a great way to communicate with the church. May God bless and keep you and your family.

Sunday 1/18/09 was my 2nd Sunday visiting ALC. I went back on Sunday to hear part 2 of his message. The Holy Spirit had other plans. HONEST to GOD, I have never heard anyone break down the “slavery redemption story” like Pastor Ed.OMG. Absolutely incredible. I would encourage everyone to GET THAT TAPE FROM SUNDAY. amazing. The texting prayer thing is creative and insightful. GOD gave him a “Witty invention”. Yes Pastor, I will be apart of it.

Thank you for the message on yesterday. It was greatly needed to help us look beyond the natural and see the hand of God at work! Bringing about reconciliation and healing to our nation and people of all races. I have invited others to join us in text prayer as this historic event takes place!

Hi Pastor,
I think that this text system is genius, as proven
I am praying with you for our government, and yesterdays message was awesome and the tears began to flow when you so elegantly explained the blood stain. Pastor, you topped it off with Ray Charles, I could not stop crying! ALC really do serve the best Sundays in town.

Yes! I will be praying.

Thank you Pastor for this opportunity to pray for our president. I will participate in the prayer tomorrow and hope others will as well. I pray for your continued vision and success.

We will be praying too. I might use your word about how America is protected by a blanket of prayer. Sounds like poetry.

Awesome Pastor! prayer is the answer. i will be praying too. thanks for the prayer network…you are truly inspiring as always.

I will definitely join in in prayer because tomorrow will usher in a New Day and the winds of purpose and destiny will be blowing. Our prayers will keep the movement flowing. I have to do my part.

Be blessed because prayer does change things. 2 Chron 7:14

I am so excited to be a part of the ALC group prayer. I thank God for what is done and what is about to happen. We all know there are miracles in our path. Thank you pastor for leading us with the leadership of Christ Jesus because he is the only one who can fix all things.

Good morning Pastor Montgomery,
My friends and I will join in the mass prayer at 11:00 this morning. God does answer prayers especially when there is unity. We have embarked on a new ERA and PRAYER will keep us grounded and guided…….

We pray for optimum health, mental clarity and political prosperity for President Barack Obama. We pray that what he lacks in political ‘experience’ You make up for with supernatural wisdom and power. We also pray that when his enemies come upon him they will stumble and fall; and that Your love will fill his heart to the end that ‘Your will’ will be done through him.
We pray mightily for his protection. As we plead the Blood of Jesus over him and his family, we ask you to dispatch legions of angels to protect them from all hurt, harm, danger, and from all accidents and incidents as he is sworn in as the next and 44th President of these United States of America.

We thank and praise You for answering our sincere prayers.
In Your precious Holy name and the Precious name of Jesus we count it done,

AMEN!!!
