Pastor Ed, you said it best one time. Faith it, Face it, and rise above it! Faith; we must star to believe! Face it, means there will be factors, let me put it like it was. I was facing a 25 yrs to life sentance for a weapons charge. I heard the words Faith it, Face it and Rise above it. I then placed $1.200.00 in the offering bucket. I wanted some thing big from God, so I gave God some big to me( but not to him) it was the word that birth faith and faith was followed by actions and deliverance or Rising above it was the manifestation of the whole process. I got 90 days and a reduced chager, A mistermeaner!
The fact it, what is missing is that Christain lack true belief! They simply realy don’t believe…. nor know the power of God and until they walk though some and Faith it, Face it and Rise above it, they will never know what we know. Yes it sad, but only a Remnant shall be save, those whom Face it, Faith it and Rise above it!

Dr. Montgomery, As I sat in service yesterday I listened carefully as I aways do. I am going off the subject of Gusher for a minute and address another issue that is weighing on my heart. I can”t get it all in but you memtioned that you don’t fire anyone because you know how hard it is out here in this world. Especially with single mother trying to raise their children. My daughter worked for ALC for 3 years, she is an excellent worker and excelled in everything that she put her hands to do. She was going through a very difficult time and tried to take her life. I feel as a child of God that, that we should have embraced her and disciple her. Not fire her. I just ask that you look into this situation with “your staff”, Caroline, Ernest and Clarissa. I was there when she was told not to worry about her job, ( a job she trully loved) and that she would not be kicked to the curb. After hurling around like a chicken with her head cut off, she got her release to go back to work. When she brought it, she was told that there were no positions open. I am talking about 2 days later. I have worked for ALC on several occasions, I never did the work that she was assigned to do. Her position was a contract receptionist. She worked harder than anyone I know there, besides Kim. As a mother, I was truly dissapointed and hurt that this was done to her. I just ask you to get together with the people that I have named and get to the bottom of this. I love You and First Lady with all my heart. You have been feeding me spiritually for 16 years and I respect you very much, but I have to ask you, are you aware of what actucally goes on at ALC? I DON’T THINK SO. She has been sexually harrassed by “your staff” and treated as if she was nothing. I’ll give you names if you want them. Tell me, are we building the People that Shape the World, or, are we actually tearing some of them down? I don’t know if you will get this because i know that your mail is read before you get to it. But I hope you do. You as Our Pastor needs to know. What is going on!!!!

in regards to the sermon on 1-9-11. I was inspired to consider my “real Life” and my “real Jesus”, God bless you! I do not think we need to “stop the rhetoric” regarding speaking out against political difference. I do not agree with the senseless murders that were committed on 1-8-11. We do not have to go along to get along. When we are encouraged to shut up or tone it down we take away from the passion that helped to shape this nation. Crazy people that shoot people to make a point need to be handled by our justice system. But never are we to be told to stop expressing ourselves or what rhetoric is to be expressed, this is offered in my humble view point.
I still think you sometimes use the pulpit as a political soap box.

My husband Dwayne and I have been visiting ALC and we have enjoyed the service, worship and word of God immensely. We are presently “shopping around” for a church home in H-town and I’m glad to say that ALC is on the top of the list. We currently reside in Cypress but for the right church we are willing to drive. Hey, we’ll drive many miles to go to work but not for Jesus? I don’t thinks so
I just wanted to share our love for the ALC fellowship, it already feels like home. Be blessed Pastor Montgomery!
