Thanks for the post Dr. Ed, and i think it is important for spiritual leaders to focus on helping poeple to achieve their dreams, especially during these times of economic challenge, and teaching people the how to’s, and sharing personal experiences of how one faces challenges in order to achieve goals is essential. Because so many of us have dreams, but these dreams have not been realized, and hope deferred makes the heart sick. And sometimes people just lack the knowledge of how to persevere, and there is no encouragement around them. However there is a responsibility on the part of the individual to do some self discovery through prayer and study of the Word of God, and to develop the proper perspective on who they are in Christ, and trust God has given us all that we need to fullfill our destiny. Thanks for your words of encouragement, and edification which is what we need to stay focused, and maintain a proper perspective in order to realize our God given dreams and aspirations. It is not too late for me, and through faith and patience I will obtain the blessings of God.
Love,
Jay

I believe our new President Barrack Obama, new First lady Michelle and their children has set the bar higher for families. I’d like for you to talk more on the importance of family. With so many single women hoping and praying for a good man to marry, I’d like to hear more on marriage. There was a time when eating together was family time at the dinner table, but now in a lot of households, nobody sits at the table together.

Dr. Montgomery…i wanted to say thank you first off for sharing your thoughts and encouragement! (i know the Prosperity Cd front and backwards for the record) i think it’s very valid in what you said about being optimistic…we have God’s word and it can not return unto him void, he’s not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should repent (* Numbers 23:19) and when we really get our minds made up and trust God at his word..*Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. * Philippians 4:9 But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus…with the bible filled with so many promises..i mean there is nothing else to say..but AMEN! i know we all are not on the same levels with our faith and in trusting God like he so desires us to do, just think if we all tap in to the things of God…man o man…this world would be so different..i do agree with pt109rick hearing more about relationships/marriage and how to maintain them…would be awesome. and it is so needed. as long as the enemy can keep us singles hooking up and connecting with the “wrong” person that just keeps birthing disfuction in the world and in turn we tend to live beneath all that God has already planned for us in every area of our lives…Thank you again Dr.Montgomery…i truly look forward to your emails…God Bless Ya Socks Off!

I would like to see more teaching on Holiness. As a country we have most definitely come away from what I believe our country was built on, christian faith. We allow anything to play on the radio and on TV and we as the body of Christ do not prostest or say anything about it. I believe that we must come back to living holy before our God. The word of God speaks of nations turning from their wicked ways and then God will restore. We are in those times right now and I believe that our leaders must bring this issue to the forefront of our nation. Thanks for the opportunity to share what the Holy Spirit has spoken to me. God Bless you Dr. Montgomery.

I want to be a better man, and one day a good husband to one wife, and yes I am open to godly men and women, who have the heart of Christ to provide instruction in righteous living when it come to relationships, and to maintaining a loving, passionate, enjoyable relationship over time. Based upon my exposure to your ministry you seem to one of the vessels qualified to further this area of ministry in the body of Christ. Thanks for all you do, and thanks to the previous bloggers for reminding me to address this important issue as well.
Blessings to you Dr. Ed, and thanks for hollering at me, your emails come right on time. Walking alone can be challenging, but necessary for a season.
With love and respect,
Jay

First, thank you Dr. Ed for taking the time to share and listen. Lately I’ve been doing alot of thinking on how to improve my current situation and calculating my next step. I jot my thoughts down alot through poetry and capture instances with photography, I call it my Third eye. One day while writing I had somewhat of a instantaneous revelation or emaculate conception of thought; “There are some things in life that you can’t grow into, but they have to grow into you. A life unyielding to those is worth living twice.” The funny thing is I sent it as a text to some of my family and days later I got a call from my brother-in-law and jokingly he was telling me to not let people know when I’m ‘high’ by sending stuff like that. Now that I think about it I was high, off life, and it kind of hurt a piece of me to be misunderstood especially when sharing something I thought was enlightening. I chalk it up as the price of being an artist.
This post definitely helps.
Thanks again

Omar

I am truly encouraged by your insightful words as people of faith we have to always walk by faith and not by sight and it is very difficult to do so in times like these; so encouragement such as the is very powerful and much needed. Some other topics that i would love to see discussed is on spiritual strength such as holiness righteousness and steadfastness to be able to live CHRIST like lives especially now when there is so much going on to distract us on a daily basis both financially and emotionally. May the LORD continue to bless you and yours bountifully.
Thank you
Sharleen

I would be forever encouraged from you ministering your thoughts and exhortations on how to remain HOPEFUL AND PRAYERFUL WHILE WAITING FOR THE MANIFESTATION OF CHANGE.

Waiting is a loooooong process and I want to remain steadfast in this season…please share and THANK YOU!!!

Pastor, I would like to talk more about how we as indivduals feel about life and how our emotions attack us each and everyday with situations that we can’t explain./

Thanks for being a blessing to Abundant life cathedral.ALso want to thank Sister Sandra for the amazing word during life church.May God annoit you.

First of all I want to say thank you for being a God fearing man as well as a man of his word…You say you’ll do something and then before you know it it’s already in progress and this is definitely a different approach to the people who shape the world. I have a lot of stuff that I would like to have us/you talk about however the one thing that continues to stay on my mind is my own situation….I’m a single mother of three and I would like to hear more on being single and waiting – waiting on God to send a husband or just waiting and being content within yourself and waiting and staying focused on His Word as well as not allowing life situations to compound you and find yourself losing faith. Anyway it helps me to know that you (my pastor) will discuss with me things that I often think about. May God continue to bless you and Sis Saundra so that you can continue to be a blessing to others.

Good afternoon,

I want to Thank You for ministering to me and my family for the last 9yrs. I moved in Houston maybe 10yrs now and was able to sit under your word.
However, my heart desired more and craved to hear more on the spirit of love, family and endurance. I watched alot of people with broken hearts (including myself) as they deal with adversity in many areas of their lives, and not all of those situations was because of financial lack. We learn alot about tithing. I have been a true tither since I was 19 yrs and God has diffenately provided. But I struggled with watching peoples broken hearts and familys being torn apart because they dont have a spirit of love, long suffering or endurance. People only look for blessings , but do not know how to endure until it comes. Thank you for allowing me to share. God Bless you and your family.

Before I say anything else, I first want to thank you and Sis. Saundra for giving so much of yourselves so unselfishly. I’m in people management and know how draining it can be to have people tugging at you all the time. You handle the platform so elequently. I am blessed by the words God gives you every week and there is always something I can take and use in the upcoming weeks. One thing I would really like to hear stressed more is the fact that we should come to church to give not to always receive. I hear a lot of people talking about reaching their goals and things of that nature and THAT IS GREAT. We are supposed to do that (be all we can be so that God will be glorified. However, we have 3 or 4 people out greeting people at the door, we have maybe 6 or 7 faithful tenors in the choir and I could go on and on. I see soooo many able, capable bodies in the congregation, but we (collectively) have a W.I.F.M. (what’s in it for me) mentality. I know you covered some great things in the meeting Saturday (I had to work and couldn’t make it, but thank God i’m working lol) and I think we should have those meetings more often.

Thank you again for this platform. But I needed to reinerate and add that I also would like to hear more about how the word relates to the world ,especially now.
I believe the body operate on Gods grace and mercy which is good, but we forget that Gods love as our Father is also discipline , guidance , and forgiveness.

I AM INTERESTED IN JOINING YOUR BLOG MY FRIEND DIRECTED ME TO U . The 9 gifts of the spirit and what it takes to have them in operation at the same time.

i need a indepth explanation of “thy shalt not covet”

i have the spirit of rejection following me since pre- adolescent. I’ve prayed, others have prayed
i have confessed my sins, repented, and still i’m rejected. For example, i was three courses away in completing my Masters degree in social work, when i was suspended from my internship at a Jewish community center. i filed a formal hearing with the university but, the dept favored the director of the center and i lost and was suspended from the program two years of wastefulness. i confronted an attorney and to no avail discrimination could not be found. another, my husband abandoned me due to childlessnes after 27 years, hence, i apply for jobs and do not get chosen, i asked a pastor recently, and he said it could be due to disobedience, but i do not stay in a mode of disobedience. help!
